Scope is built so that your thinking stays on your device. This page says exactly what does and doesn't reach our server.
Stays on your device
- Everything you type or say to Scope: your task, your answers and anything you add.
- Your plans and prompts, and your last 20 plans. They are kept in your browser's storage.
- Scope doesn't use an AI service on our server. Questions and plans come from built-in rules on your device. If you turn on the on-device model in Settings, it runs in your browser. The model is downloaded once from a public model host, and nothing you type is sent to that host.
Clear your browser's site data for Scope to delete it all.
Reaches our server only if you choose
- Send to my coach. If you joined through a coach's link and press Send, the server stores the brief you previewed. That is the summary, outcomes and steps, plus any name or note you added. Your answers are included only if you ticked the box. Prompts are never sent.
- Only that coach can see it. You can unsend it at any time, and that deletes it. The coach can also delete it. A brief is deleted automatically 30 days after the coach marks it reviewed.
For coaches
- We store your email (to send sign-in links), your framework settings and the briefs your clients send you.
- Sign-in uses a one-time email link and a secure cookie that lasts 30 days. There's no password.
- Sign-in emails are sent through Google Workspace.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no tracking pixels and no analytics scripts.
- We don't sell or share data.
- We don't train AI models on what you write.
